Trinity's spots were scabbing like chicken pox should, so I was starting to get worried. I decided to call her pediatrician's office again. When I told the nurse what was going on, they decided to have us come in. My mom met me at the office with Trinity, and they had to wait in the hall, just in case it was the chicken pox. Her regular dr saw her, but our appointment was with one of the other drs. They was all somewhat perplexed about this rash. It is definitely not chicken pox. They think it might be Henoch-Schonlein Purpura. HSP can be caused by a reaction to a medication. The antibiotic Trinity is taking for her kidney's has Sulfa, which is very tough. The dr switched us back to amoxicyllin for now. They also took a blood sample (by way of blood draw from her arm, just like adults) and a urine sample. The urine they took but putting a bag on her, and cutting a hole in her diaper for the bag to hang out. She did great with the blood draw, took about half way through before she decided this was somewhat painful, and she started crying. The first half she even smiled!! It sounds like it is kind of a waiting game for now, to see how long it takes before they go away. For the most part she is a very happy little girl.
