Rett Syndrome Strollerthon

This weekend we drove to Seattle for the Rett Syndrome Strollerthon to walk with Caitlyn's team. It was a blast!! It was a mile walk around a little lake in a park in Puyallup. There were teams for about 10 girls with Rett Syndrome. They had a silent and live auction to raise additional money for the Rett Syndrome Research Foundation (link the title of this blog entry takes you too). Team Caitlyn brought in almost $2000!!! We had a blast! If you want to keep up with Caitlyn's progress, Rebecca has started a blog for her, http://caitlynsfamily.blogspot.com/
The drive over was beautiful! It was a clear day, and this picture shows you just how clear of a day it was. Usually on a somewhat clear day you can see Mt. Rainier as you come down the hill coming into the Klickitat Valley and Ellensburg on I-90. Saturday was special! Even before Moses Lake you could see Mt. Rainier! It was that clear of a day. I tried to take a picture through the front window of the car, but it wasn't turning out. I instead took one from the rest area.
