Since Trinity's surgery in September 2006 we have to have her kidney checked out once a year. When we moved back to the westside we decided to keep her pediatric urologist in Spokane, so we have been combining the check up with a holiday at Dave's. Today was her yearly check-up.
We checked in at Sacred Heart Children's Hospital and all was good. She had been talking about it, and last year she enjoyed the ultrasound and even watched on the computer screen. This year was completely different. For some reason she freaked out, crying, kicking, yelling. It was horrible. Jason had to hold down her legs while I layed down with her and held her arms. I think it is because the tech was wearing a mask, but I don't know. She cried while he did the ultrasound, but she layed there and let him do it.
Next was our Dr appointment. She said it is looking good! Her right kidney is growing at the speed it is supposed. Her left kidney is looking good too, but still a bit large. The dr said we might only need to do one more yearly check up. We will see!
