Happy Halloween!!! (The Day)

Now that you have the history of the costume, now here is the run down of the very busy day!

Here is Trinity when she arrived at school:

Trinity's teacher had told us during the monthly flag assembly the kids would parade in their costumes. I decided to take the morning to help get Ms. Belle (aka Trinity) ready for school. We had a little fuss over figuring out her hair so the crown (not pictured here) would stay in her hair. She kept saying she was "gorgeous"!! We also had to bring clothes for her to change into, cupcakes, juice boxes, camera, and lunch! Jason got all that together while I fussed, and fussed, and fussed with her ultra thin, crazy fine hair! Then Ms. Belle and I were off! Her class had two Belles and three witches!

Here is some video of her class parading across the stage (you can see her shoes flashing!):

After the assembly was over I stayed to help Trinity and the other kids get out of their costumes (and earned some of my required volunteer hours!). Later in the day the kids had their Halloween party, with lots of candy and cupcakes!

Then we had a busy evening of Trick or Treating planned. First, it was off to Trunk or Treat at Grandma and Grandpa's church. What a treat it was! Here are some pictures of that. Oh, and the hair, not happenin! She would not let me fix it, so just put it all back in a pony tail! She got a lot of candy, even some full candy bars! One gentleman had glow in the dark bracelets and pencils, and no candy. Trinity was very quick to point out he had no candy and even asked him why. She has learned way to fast that Halloween is all about candy!

Then we headed back to the house to get Jason and go to a few houses in our neighborhood. It was getting somewhat chilly, so we just hit up a few of our neighbors. I tried for a mini photo shoot with the pumpkins, but Ms. Belle did not wish to participate! We did get some great pictures of her Trick or Treating, and Jason learned eventually how to work the flash on the new camera!! Then it was back home to put a very sleepy little Princess to bed! Here she is going through her candy: And here is Ms. Belle at the very end of her day:

She looks very tired and ready for bed here!
Jason and I then had the first every duty of going through the candy and making sure it was not tampered with.
We got a total of three groups of trick or treaters at our house. That is three more than last year. Jason got it right when he said gone are the days of running door to door with your pillow case!
